Nepal Appeal

Majestic Grace Ministries is asking for your help to complete the purchase of an operating coffee shop in Nepal. The shop will provide jobs and practical training for members of the local church, while its future net income will help support the care of orphaned children. We are seeking $11,500 to complete the purchase by October 25, 2026.

Why This Project Matters

The August disaster in Nepal was devastating. Thousands of lives were lost in a very short time, and the church community was not spared. Entire families were lost, leaving children without parents or a home.

Through our longstanding relationship with the church in Nepal, we support an established orphanage that is duly registered with the Nepalese government. It has cared for children successfully for many years and provides housing, food, education, and ongoing care.

The ministry in Nepal has identified additional orphaned children whom the orphanage is in a position to help. Before accepting more children, however, the ministry must be confident that it can sustain that commitment for years to come. Immediate relief remains essential, but long-term care requires a dependable source of income.

Why a Coffee Shop

We plan to purchase an existing, operating coffee shop in Nepal. It offers a practical way to meet several needs at once: create meaningful employment, teach useful job and business skills, strengthen local families, and generate continuing support for the orphanage.

Employment opportunities in Nepal are limited, and many people have little access to training or practical work experience. The coffee shop will give members of the local church an opportunity to earn income through their own work and develop skills they can use in the future.

The goal is not simply to spend donated funds. It is to put those funds to work in a business that can continue producing benefits long after the original gifts have been used. As the coffee shop becomes profitable, its net income will provide an ongoing source of support for the orphanage.

Why We Trust This Ministry

This project is not being undertaken at a distance with little knowledge of what is happening on the ground. Majestic Grace Ministries has a close and continuing relationship with the church and ministry in Nepal.

Members of the Majestic Grace Ministries team spend three to six weeks each year visiting the church and ministry facilities in Nepal. During the rest of the year, we remain in close contact with the team there and follow how the funds we send are being used. Because of that continuing relationship and oversight, we are highly confident that the money entrusted to this ministry is being used properly and for its intended purposes.

How Your Donation Will Be Used

Majestic Grace Ministries retains no portion of donations designated for this project unless a donor specifically directs that a portion be used for Majestic Grace. Designated donations are sent to the Nepal ministry for the purposes for which they were given.
